Next Generation Leahy

Saturday, September 21, 2019

Time:8;00 pm.

Building on over three generations of Leahy musicianship, Doug Leahy, together with his wife Jennifer and their children, are keeping those traditions alive through music, song, and dance.

It is this drive to create music that has led Doug and Jennifer’s children to achieve so much, even at their young ages. Still all in  elementary school, the children are accomplished                      multi-instrumentalists.

Led by Doug, live performances are filled with the high-energy, infectious Celtic-based music people associate with the Leahy heritage.   Canadian step-dancing all find a voice on stage.

Their performances leave audiences in awe.

Music Awards, and Music Newfoundland and Labrador Awards, The Ennis Sisters, comprised of Maureen, Teresa and Karen Ennis, are world renowned, celebrated songbirds.

With their striking sibling harmonies, and powerful voices, it’s in their bones to sing. This year they will be touring songs from their 2018 release Keeping Time.

This concept album, about our most precious gift of time and what we’ve decided to do with it. It’s about the passing of time, the loss of traditions, the things we do to hold onto what matters most and what we’ve done to preserve it.

At the end of our lives, when the edges of our memories are fraying and we are falling in and out of time, hopefully, looking back, well feel we lived our lives well, with little regret, and even the time wasted along the way was worth it for the lessons learned.
