The Legendary

Patsy Cline Show

Sunday, October 23, 2016

 Time: 3:00 pm.

Amberley Beatty steps on stage, the very spirit, the very soul of one of the greatest singers in the history of Pop and Country music comes to life as the legendary Patsy Cline.

Patsy Cline’s two diverse looks are captured in evening gown and Western style dress complete with the sultry sound and bright red lipstick of the early 1960s.

When asked how she was influenced, Amberley explains,” When I was a little girl the best time of my life was sitting at the breakfast table with my Grandpa listening to the oldies country station on

the radio. He and I would sing along to his favorite songs like Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams and of course Patsy Cline. I think that is where it all began”.

And so begins this magical ride. For those fans who would never see the real Patsy Cline perform live, they will be brought as close as can be when Amberley captures her essence in every note she

sings – and she’ll have a heck of a lot of fun doing it too – expect to sing along, laugh, and at times be brought to tears by this very special performance.

Ticket price is only $30.00 so BUY NOW and avoid disappointment...this show will sell out fast! "The Silent B" is a story about a climber who wants to get a good view of the world. He has not heard about the plan afoot to dethrone the Queen of the mountain.  Will he be assisted or blocked by those he meets on his journey: gossiping lambs, a knight with ten thumbs, three all-knowing plumbers?  And can he dodge the snow bombs lobbed at him along the way?  A highly interactive, slightly improvised take about things that are not said.

This family band has been performing professionally since 2002. From a young age, the group earned prestigious awards such as Canadian Open Step Dance Champions and Performance Awards from Walt Disney World, Florida. They have toured across Canada, and have picked up styles along their journey, molding their show into a mosaic of Canadian styles tied together with their own personal sound. The Ballaghs have been described as a ‘captivating catharsis of fiddle, feet, and voice’, and will certainly have you smiling and tapping your toes during their performance. Their fun and joy-inducing show is not only entertaining because of their dancing, original songs, and stories, but because of their family connection. The bond shared between them onstage is something special to be a part of.

County Towne Players

April 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 & 8,   2017

The County Towne Players have selected a comedy, Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig (presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.) for its 2017 April production.

Director John Siegfried has chosen a cast who are sure to make the play come to life.

Leading Ladies features two down on their luck actors, Leo and Jack who have been reduced to performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in Pennsylvania

Amish country.  When they learn that a rich old lady, Florence Snider is about to die and wishes to leave her fortune to her two long lost nephews, Max and Steve, they decide to pass

themselves off as the nephews and collect the cash.  Unfortunately, when they arrive in York, Florence's home, they discover that Max and Steve are really Maxine and Stephanie, two

nieces.  Leo and Jack decide to pass themselves off as women.  Romantic entanglements abound—Leo falls for Meg, Florence's vivacious niece who is engaged to the stuffy, local

minister, Duncan Wooley.  Jack is attracted to Audrey, an attractive young woman who first appears on stage on roller skates wearing her uniform from the Tastee Bite.  These

attractions are all the more complicated by the fact that Leo and Jack must constantly switch from male to female in order to play both of the roles they have chosen for themselves.

Doc Myers, Florence's crusty physician who is also Chief of the local Moose Lodge and his bumbling son, Butch, round out the cast.

Leading Ladies is a quick paced comedy that promises to provide audience members with an entertaining story and an abundance of laughter.
